The Burke MVN and the Powermatic MVN mills are the same except for the belt guards and the paint jobs. Both are high quality. There were many options available when ordering them. I am on my second Millrite. They are very nice machines, not a bunch of bells and whistles, but solid and well built.

I have a mid 60's Burke Millrite, great machine for the home hobbyist. Powermatic bought Burke out and continued production with a different belt cover design. It weighs about 1500#. The Millrite was like a pickup truck, tons of options available so the buyer could tailor specs to their requirements.

HI, I am looking to buy a Burke Millrite vertical mill and am looking at a model MV1. I've also seen MVN models for sale and wonder what the difference between them is. The quill feed is by a hand wheel, not a lever; I've read somewhere that wheel feed is better for brass and that is 99% of what I work with.
